This classic T-shaped baby bonnet pattern is written in English language, US Terms ONLY and comes in 4 sizes: Newborn-Toddler. Puffs, post stitches, and crossed-double crochet make a texture that is classic but still fits in well with a modern nursery. This bonnet is slightly square in the back, but that is on purpose and it's part of the vintage charm. Look through all of the images to see the details on this sweet little bonnet that will work for baby boys or baby girls!

This is an intermediate skill-level crochet pattern, and will require a small amount of sewing.

You will need a #1 fingering weight yarn in the color of your choice, and a 2.55 mm (0) steel hook, or hook needed to obtain gauge. The written pattern instructions contain a complete list of materials, and a stitch terms key. This pattern does NOT have charts.

I love this pattern! It was super easy to follow and all the extra notes were extremely helpful. I've made two blankets for friends and family members with this pattern and they both turned out beautifully! It was also just a fun pattern to crochet. The variation was nice, but I was also able to get into a good rhythm with it. I used Knit Picks Swish DK instead of the listed yarn, and used 6 skeins of color A, 4 of color B, and 3 of color C. I was a little short on color A for the border, so I did the last two rounds of the long sides of the border in the contrast colors. If you want a single colored border, I'd recommend getting 7 skeins of color A.
